If you have a question, complaint or concern about the care you are receiving from your nurses, nursing supervisor, or the doctor at your healthcare facility, you have the right to express your concerns and to expect a prompt response.
The first – and most important – step is to tell your nurse or other hospital caregiver about your concern. If they cannot assist you, they will find someone who can. Please remember that, in nearly every case, a complaint can be handled right away. But first, we must know about the problem. So, if we can make anything better for you, tell us as soon as possible. In the rare situation when speaking with your nurse or caregiver does not help, there are other steps you can take.
To initiate the grievance process, call (210) 579-3102, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or, after hours, call (210) 579-3000 and ask to speak with the administrator on call. You can expect a written response to a grievance within 7 days of your report. If the hospital cannot help with your concerns your other options include:
