Behavioral Health

Nix Health offers a wide range of inpatient behavioral health services. Between our three locations, Nix Medical Center, Nix Specialty Health Center and Nix Behavioral Health Center, we take care of emotionally and behaviorally ill children and adolescents ages 5 to 17, as well as adults 18 and older and Senior Adults.  Adult services include detoxification and crisis stabilization, while our child and adolescent treatment program includes individual, group and family sessions.

Nix Specialty Health Center
Centrally located at Vance Jackson and Loop 410, Nix Specialty Health Center provides superior behavioral health services in an intimate setting where patients are cared for with compassion. The recent recipient of two prestigious national awards and recognized as one of the premier behavioral health facilities in the State of Texas, Nix Specialty Health Center features psychiatric treatment, crisis stabilization, and medical detoxification for adults ages 18 and above.

Nix Mobile Assessment Team provides:

  • On-site behavioral health assessments 24 hours, 7 days a week
  • Services for individuals living in Bexar and outlying counties

Only a licensed physician can make the diagnosis of need for inpatient treatment. Voluntary and involuntary admissions accepted. Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, Managed Care and most insurance accepted.
