Nix Health Care Foundation offers the following outreach programs:

Healthcare Screenings & Education Seminars

The Nix Health Care Foundation provides the community with education and resources to help address health and wellness issues they face each day. The Foundation sponsors medical screenings and seminars on a wide range of topics, including:

Diabetes
Stroke
Dementia
Heart disease
Vascular disease
Nutrition
Colon Cancer
Osteoporosis
Macular Degeneration
Prostate Cancer
Gastrointestinal disorders
Sleep problems and disorders
Treatments for hip, knee and back pain
And many more

The Foundation has collaborated with community businesses and organizations such as the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District, the Center for Health Care Services, University Health System, Bexar County Medical Society, Downtown YMCA, WOAI-TV4, H-E-B Central Market, Walgreen’s, Kmart and Oak Farms Dairy to disseminate health information to the public. The Foundation has also taken its programs to community centers and facilities such as the Ella Austin Community Center, Christian Senior Services, and Air Force Villages.
