various types of care quality data. This helps you make informed decisions,
as you can accurately assess how we compare to national guidelines and
care standard, as well as how we compare to other hospitals throughout
Texas and across the country.
We Welcome Your Feedback
If you have a question, concern, or complaint about the care you received
from your nurses, nursing supervisor, or the doctor at your healthcare
facility, you have the right to express your concerns and to expect a
prompt response. At Nix Health, we welcome and value your feedback.
When you have an issue at one of our facilities, there are certain steps
you can take:
Let a staff member know about your concern- Please remember that, in nearly every case, a complaint can be handled
right away but we must first know about the problem in order to take the
necessary steps towards rectifying the issue. If we can make anything
better for you, let your nurse or other hospital caregiver know as soon
Initiate the grievance process- In the rare instance that a staff member is not able to assist you, you
can begin the grievance process. After speaking with an administrator,
typically you will receive a response within seven to ten days of your report.
File a complaint with the Texas Department of State Health Services- If the hospital is unable to address your concerns or complaint, you may
begin the process of filing a complaint with the Texas Department of State
Health Services for further assistance.
File a complaint against a DNV accredited hospital- Another option for those with concerns, issues, or complaints regarding
their healthcare service is to file a complaint against a DNV accredited
hospital. Contact us for more information.
Ability to report anonymously- This allows you to file a report through the PMH corporate compliance
hotline. They can be reached at (800) 826-6762.
It’s important to note that the hospital in question will not retaliate
against you in any way for filing a complaint. To learn more about filing
