Confidential & Comprehensive Healthcare Information
At Nix Health, you can expect your medical records and all communications
about your care to be treated as confidential, including discussion about
your case, consultations, examinations, and treatment. On our Patient
Rights & Safety Information page, you will find our Notice of Privacy
Practices in both English and Spanish, which explains in detail how your
healthcare information can be used and when your authorization is required.
Some examples of how your information may be used include:
- Providing medical information about work-related illnesses to Worker’s
- Disclosing room number and general condition (good, fair, serious, or critical)
to visitors asking for you by name
- Giving information to your insurance company to facilitate the payment of claims
- Sharing your health information in response to a court order or subpoena
We are required by law to maintain the confidentiality of your health information,
and we are happy to comply. Your privacy and security are important to
us. Nix Health is fully compliant with the Health Information Portability
and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), a set of national privacy and
security standards put in place to protect your medical records and information.

How to Request Copies of Your Medical Records
If you need copies of your medical records, you must complete the Authorization
for Release of Protected Health Information form (below). For more information
